An overview of GCxGC mass spectrometry and improved flavors in vegetarian foods. ChromaTOF Tile was utilized to review chromatography data. Presented by Hans-Gerd Janssen, Science Leader Unilever Research, Professor Recognition-based Analytic Chemistry at Wageningen University & Research, and Ed Rosing, Analytical Flavour Scientist at Unilever R&D Vlaardingen.

Liz Humston-Fulmer [LECO] discusses how the Pegasus BT (with L-PAL3 Autosampler) identifies analyte changes due to aging of commercially available IPA beer. Presented on 11 April 2017.

Jack Cochran [Restek] discusses the increased peak capacity in two-dimensional comprehensive gas chromatography, examining samples from oil spills and other large pollution events. Presented 24 September 2012.

Utilizing Gas Chromatography-Olfactometry (GC-O) can help identify active odor compounds in complex mixtures. But, what happens if GC-O does not identify a compound, but an off-flavor or malodor is still present? Ray Marsili (Analytical Flavor Chemist and Owner, Marsili Consulting Group) discuss the process of utilizing ChromaTOF peak deconvolution software to identify hidden compounds.

Peter Haglund [Umeå University] explores two-dimensional gas chromatography techniques in various environmental samples, including house dust, garbage dump leachate, biota (flora and fauna of a given region), and municipal sewage treatment plants. Presented 20 June 2013.

Oliver Fiehn, PhD. (UC Davis) discusses utilizing open access metabolomics databases for data analysis and comparison. Several database resources are presented.
